I am a Registered Franchise Consultant with the Federal Trade Commission and am certified in Business Brokerage and are a licensed commercial Realtor.

Self-employment and business ownership is a career path many consider for a long time but just never seem to find the strength of conviction to pursue, or the timing is "never right". But for many, due to corporate restructures, downsizing and such, it has become a necessary career path. Age discrimination is alive and well in corporate America.
It is not easy to transition from the corporate life to starting or acquiring a business. The emotional roadblocks, the potential to make quick decisions without thorough research or not to make a decision when the right opportunity is in front of you, to make decisions based on emotions or the lack of valid information, how and where to find information and what is valid information and often just how to find the right opportunity for your skills and temperament, are all potentially huge obstacles.
